Disappointing service at VW Autohaus Centurion

I've had such a disappointing experience at VW Autohaus Centurion in Pretoria. We bought a brand new VW Transporter from VW Parow at the beginning of the year, 28 February 2025 to be precise. I am based in Pretoria Centurion and the the nearest VW dealership to my house is Autohaus Centurion. I took the car in for the first service at 15 000km and then at 30 000km on the 12th of September where I was assisted Amanda Van Rhyn. The vehicle went in and was advised that the front brakes were worn out. I was told they did not have stock on the brakes so I would need to return the car once the brakes had been ordered and delivered.

I soon recieved a notification from Amanda that the brakes had been delivered and took the car in for the break change. Everything seemed like it was in ordere until I realised about a month and a half later that my front two tyres are completely worn out, my jack had been removed from its mount and my triangle and wheel spanner were missing. The condition of the front tyres is so bad that the wires are visible and this is rather odd. Upon this discovery I then went to a tyre reseller nearby for a second opinion on how this could be because it made no sense and to no surprise the specialist confirmed that it isn't possible to run out tyres on a brand new car in such a short period.

This car drives locally around Centurion, Waterfall and Kyalami, we have tracker records to prove it. It did 1 trip to the Eastern Cape around April and another around July to Tzaneen.

Post the consultation with the specialist from the tyre shop I approached VW Centurion on Thursday (27 November 2025) to try and find out what might have happened. I was taken to the service center manager, Mr. VICTOR FARQUHAR who I explained my situation to and why I suspected foul play possibly from the time I brought the car in.

I suggested that we please review the cctv footage from the day they worked on the car to assist me with investigating what could've possibly happened and I was met with a rather disappointing response from Victor saying "how long would that take" and I then responded to say that the only place that has worked on the car is their workshop and I suggest we go through the cctv footage for comfort. Victor further responded in the most disgusting and utterly disappointing manner saying "you can give me a new set of the best brand of tyres today and I can klap them and then they are worn out tomorrow". His response sparked a back-and-forth and realised we weren't getting any resolution. He then said the only solution he can give me is a discount on tryes. This wasn't satisfactory to me and it made me very suspicious because who assists you with lower rates if they have nothing to do with what has happened. I suggested he escalates my matter to the Dealer Principal.

Victor gladly took me to the Principals office, Sonja Prinsloo. I took her through the sequence of events up to the interaction with Victor and she responded dismissivly saying "What has this have to do with me and them" that's when I knew I wouldn't be assisted. She further said she will not waste her time going through the footage and will not assist me with investigating my grevience any further.

This is such disappointing and atrocious behavior from the same people we have to trust to handle our cars and immediately refuse to assist when a grevience is raised with them. If you know what's good for you, never take your car to VW Autohaus Centurion . All I need is assistance with investigating the matter further because I now sit with a bill to replace tyres way before time.
