DEMAND REFUND OF A SERVICE I DID NOT RECIEVE

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the way my refund request has been handled. I paid upfront for a 120,000km service at VW Wonderboom Pretoria, which was never rendered. Yet, I am being denied a refund — a decision that is not only unjust but entirely unacceptable. Let me be clear:I paid for a service. I did not receive the service. I expect my money back. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was involved in an accident two days before I could schedule a booking and my vehicle was subsequently declared a write-off by my insurer. I informed VW Wonderboom of this development. With the support of the dealership’s finance clerk, a refund request was logged with VW South Africa. To my absolute dismay, this request was declined on the grounds that my vehicle had exceeded the "grace period" for the service. Let me state this plainly: It is entirely unreasonable to expect a customer to anticipate a motor accident or hold them liable for failing to attend a service due to their car being written off. It is even more outrageous to refuse a refund under such circumstances, hiding behind vague technicalities that do not change the fundamental fact — Volkswagen South Africa received payment for a service they never provided. I am a loyal VW customer, currently owning two Volkswagen vehicles, and have trusted the brand for years. The handling of this matter has severely undermined that trust. It is disheartening to see a globally respected brand failing to uphold basic ethical standards: If a customer pays and does not receive the product or service, a refund is due — simple. I am, therefore, demanding the full and immediate refund of the service fee paid. I will not accept silence or deflection.
