Customer service and Servicing of Scirrocco
I have purchased a vw Scirrocco last year. It is a 2010 model and it had a pervious owner....
We were told that the car is tinted, but we had to pay half of the amount to get the smash and grab done after purchasing the vehicle. We complained about the broken fog light when vw handed the car over. This I eventually had to fix myself.. We also returned the car for a check up at the dealership because oil frequently just dissapeared and there was a noise inside one of the doors. VW could not pick up any problems.
I traded my VW polo tsi in for the scirrocco. The polo was well looked after and in good condition. I feel like im spending more money fixing the scirocco and that it was a bad deal. The dealship just says that they unfortunately can't do anything.
The latest problem is my biggest concern.
I'd like to know if the timing belt is supposed to be changed when going in for a service at 90 000km?
Last year, the car went in for a service on 90 000. The timing belt was not changed. We were also not advised that it needed to be changed.... So the cars timing belt broke recently and the car is currently at a VW. They are charging me about R1 10000 for the repair of the car.
After mentioning the oil loss and the fact that it went to VW for a service at 90000km, this could have been avoided. I honestly am dissapointed in the service i have received thus far.
