COMPLAINT - POLO VIVO OVERHEATING
I bought a new 2020 Polo Vivo 1.4 comfortline in November 2020. In july 2021 it started overheating whenever I'm stuck in traffic. On 31 July i go stuck on a haven traffic for about 30 minutes and the car overheated and it started emitting smoke from the bonnet. I phoned VW and the car was towed away to VW Barons in Bluff Durban. On the 3rd of August I was told to come collect the car because it was "fine" according to them. Two weeks down the line the same thing happened again, it overheated. I sent the car back for the service on 24 August 2021, they kept my car with them till Friday 27 August 2021 and they told me they have replaced Radiator fan control unit which was faulty and was the cause for overheating and air conditioner not cooling. Yesterday 1 September 2021 ( 5 days after the service) i got stuck in traffic for about 10 minutes and the car did the same thing as before. I have raised my concerns with salesman and he said he has no answer to this I must book for a service again. I'm fed up with them It doesn't make sense that a car that is less than a year old would give me so much stress. Their service is poor and they failed to provide me with a car to use while they have mine with them.
