clutch

I have purchased a pre-owned 2014 jetta 6 from vw umphlanga. I have had the car for less than 5 months and my clutch burnt out. When i approached them they told me that I am liable for all costs involved to repair which is equating to R17100. I have been driving for the past 16 years and never had problems with my previous vehicles. I am sure that a garantee is in place for the first 6 months but they are telling me its not. I am thinking about getting an attorney because I don't have that kind of money on me to pay for the repair. Is there anyone that can help me.
