I bought my Jetta from Barons N1 City in Aug 2014. On purchasing the vehicle I was sold a extended warranty on the vehicle by Barons N1 City through Motorite. In the Aug 2015 my Jetta had a rattling noise and I took it to Mccarthy VW in Parow on Monday, 7 Sept 2015. On Tuesday, 8 Sept I was informed by the dealership that the problem has to do with the turbo and that they have contacted Motorite for authority to repair my vehicle. Motorite contacted me to inform me that the previous owner neglected to have the vehicle serviced on time when it was suppose to have it's first service. Due to this the extended warranty that I paid for is not valid. I actually paid for a warranty, sold to me by Barons N1 City that is invalid. Motorite has referred the matter to VW N1 City to investigate. Now I am waiting on answers and don't receive any reply on my emails. This is highly unprofessional and not what you will expect from a company like VW SA. I am extremely disappointed and highly frustrated. My next step will be to take this up with the Ombudsman.
