Cheating by a reputable Company (VW SA)

My wife has a full Maintenance Plan with Volkswagen South Africa. She bought the vehicle (Polo 1.4 Hatchback) new in June 2019 just after I bought mine. Her car clutch was always stiff than mine, but then we believed that that's how it had to be compared to mine since it's a Trendline, and mine a Comfortline. The clutch became worse until we decided to take it to VW Constancia for them to check it, considering the fact that she has a full Maintenance Plan which she never used in 2 years. To our surprise, we got told that they will not fix it because it is not wear and tear, but abuse. The car is only 39 000 km so far. I have however realized that there's something with these vehicles because I also had to replace a clutch at a very early stage

It's bad that VW SA don't even check people are saying about their services, or perhaps they do check them and decide not to respond

Having said that, out of my frustration, I visited VW Constantia and asked to see the Service Manager. In a minute, I was taken to his office and told him side of story, his name is Mohammad Ali, I hope I am right. Very polite, calm, he presented his Management skills and I was impressed. He called in the Service Advisor whom I dealt with. The man became very defensive but Mohammad immediately realized the lies from him, excused him from the Office and gave me a better deal for them to fix my vehicle clutch. From the amount mentioned of above 12k, he charged me 5.8k which I accepted and my car was sorted.

After my entire dissatisfaction with the Service Advisor, I ended up being the happy customer. Thanks to Mohammad Ali.

Every time I go to VW Constantia, I always prefer to be assisted by the female Service Advisor Nondumiso, very friendly and professional
