Car Service- Customer Service

My car went in for a service the Friday morning, and I collected before closing on Friday evening. My service adviser (Mark Arendse) had been in contact with me throughout the day making sure that all my request were seen to and what I wanted done. I confirmed with him via telephone that ALL non working bulbs to be replaced, AND specifically asked them to check which ones were not working, left, right, front and back. I put my trust in the team that they knew what they were doing an they would see to all the issues, BUT that was my mistake. When I collected my vehicle I was assured everything had been see to and made payment for all the repairs and the service. Due to their incompetence I drove off with a non-working fog light. I was less than 5 minutes away from the dealership that had just closed and saw the reflection in a store window, and noticed the light was not working. I pulled off to double check. To my extreme annoyance the right light was NOT WORKING and NOT replaced!! I called first thing the next morning and explained and they said Mark was not in, but I can bring the vehicle in the Monday morning and they would see to it. Monday early morning I brought the car to VW dealership, Mark took the car to the technician for an assessment and he returned to say the bulb had blown, with a "there's nothing we can do about it attitude". I then called and spoke to the Manager (Justin Horn) and explained the situation. I immediately got an attitude from him and he said he would not be able to help without knowing more, and said he would call back. I later received a call from Scott Supe, he explained I signed the job card stating the left bulb was to be replaced, and because I signed off on that, I was responsible...although Mark did the job card without assessing exactly which bulbs were faulty. After explaining the situation he ended the call by saying that I could come in for a quote on the faulty light bulb. Why would I need a quote when they were at fault??! I am absolutely disgusted with the way this was handled and the attitude I received in dealing with this. This was a very basic request and therefore I feel as though this could have been dealt with much better, and just very very disappointing in their customer service. My recommendation would be that head office seriously reevaluate the team running the VW Claremont branch or send them ALL for proper training on how to speak to and deal with customers.. Or is it just customers of colour??!! No thank you to you Claremont VW!!!
