BARONS KURUMAN HORRIBLE SERVICE

Good morning Sir/Madam

I Obakeng Khoza owner of KRC 393 NW Polo Tsi 2017 write to you this morning heartbroken and distressed. I have had the worst experience at the hands of Volkswagen Barons Kuruman Service Receptionists. I would like to file a formal grievance as their behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional towards me.

On the 6th October my vehicle was booked in at Westvaal Volkswagen Mafikeng for service and I was informed that my brake pads were depleted and needed to be replaced. I then booked it on the 14th October at Barons Kuruman for Brake Pads and Battery inspection cause the vehicle had recently developed starting issues despite me buying the vehicle from VW in January 2022.

When I arrived at 8am at Barons Kuruman they took the vehicle in only to call me at 16H30 to inform me that they have done nothing to the vehicle and they are closing their dealership at 17H00. I had to rush to the dealership to get my vehicle and upon arrival they told me that my vehicle doesn't wana start and they can't jump start it. They told me I can't have my vehicle and I said that can't be! because I drove over 130km to Kuruman for my maintenance appointment. They finally got the car to start and I had to drive back home at night with faulty brakes for another 130km having wasted my fuel for nothing.

I booked the car in for maintenance repairs with Barons Kuruman again the following week on the 21st October 2022 but the car didn't want to start because the VW battery was swollen and leaking fluid. I then realized when inspecting the battery that the water pump was also leaking coolant and I informed the service receptionist to add it onto my jobcard for the brake pads and battery repair. Volkswagen Barons couldn't advice me to call Volkswagen Alert to arrange for tow truck since my vehicle is still new I had to call VW at Boksburg to get all the information I needed.

Volkswagen Alert arranged for a tow truck to come and collect the vehicle but the tow truck came to collect the vehicle late by my house. Upon arrival at Barons Kuruman I never received a call to inform me the vehicle had arrived or who the service receptionist assigned to me was. I had to call the dealership and explain again what was wrong with the vehicle.

This morning 25th October 2022 I had to call Barons Kuruman (despite yesterday being a full working day without any feedback from them) to find out if there is any feedback regard my Vw Polo Tsi 2017 and I was informed that they are awaiting Brake Pads and a battery. The Receptionists by the name Bonolo (not sure) was very rude and I had to hang up the phone just to cool off.

She was going on about how late my vehicle came on Friday despite the tow truck being arranged by Volkswagen. I then had to call back to speak to the manager regarding a proper feedback with possible ETA's for parts that were ordered for my vehicle (despite having previously ordered parts with the parts department). When I called back and asked to speak to the manager the whole reception was laughing at me and speaking in Setswana "Keyo are o batla go bua le manager" as they proceeded to laugh at me. The lady who answered Precious or something then asked Bonolo if she should put me through. I then spoke to the manager.

I wrote a Facebook status complaining about the bad service I got from Barons Kuruman and the comments are sickening!!!!! People have always complained about that dealership and I gave it the benefit of the doubt!! I am just awaiting my vehicle so I can trade it in. I don't want it anymore I bought it in January and the experience is awful!!! Please find attached the comments about Volkswagen Barons Kuruman from disgusted patriots who are fed up like me about that place!!!!
