Bad servive at VW

Volkswagen SA a disgrace I took my wife's car for service as booked for a week before and when I got there, my job card wasn't ready and had to wait 30 minutes for it to be generated.

I woke early that day so as I am number 2 in the queue of cars to be serviced and I was driven to my work for my meeting around 8h00 the Tuesday of 19th December 2018.

I finished my meeting at 12h00 and went to VW to check for the car and to my suprise I was told by Thabo (Service Consultant) that the car hasn't even been attended to.

The explanation given was that, the car was placed at a work station of a technician who is off sick and they weren't aware.

I then asked how many cars have been serviced since the time I dropped it and I never got an answer, only thing is that The Manager blamed the service consultant and never took any responsibility or even find out from the workshop manager why did he fail to manage the workshop.

I was told to wait as they are attending to it and an hour later I received the car, which made me question the quality of work done as now it was a rush job and to make me stop complaining.

I then escalated the treatment to VW SA and was very disappointed in how the managed the complaint. I was asked for the ownership documents and I then asked how is that connected to the bad service I received?.

I was told its standard procedure and when I asked what happens then in a scenario where I get bad service and the car is a company car?

Will I be asked to produce such documents ot to contact the company fleet management section to get such a documents before they can address the matter?

They couldnt answer me and was told they can tell the manager to apologise as it's a Franchise and thus left me confused as a franchise abides by terms of reference set out by the franchisee and if the image of the company is in question then can't the franchisee act accordingly to make sure that the franchise apologizes and redeem itself?

I didn't get an answer.

So my fellow drivers, never ever find yourself in the same situation as me and never buy a VW car because you will definitely meet the same beaurocracy when you have issues.

Me and my wife are definitely trading in this VW for a different car brand...
