BAD CUSTOMER CARE by VW South Africa

Our VW Tiguan is two years old. We were late for the 60,000km service, did it at 73,000km's . TWO days after the service at Barons Cape Town, one of the pistons burned out on the way to Plettenberg Bay. The car was towed to VW Mossel Bay. The cost is R31,000.00 !! We now know one of the main causes of piston burnout is dirt in the fuel injection system. One of the signs of dirt in the fuel injection system is a \shudder"or irregular idling. THIS IS EXACTLY what I reported when I took the car in for its service. I have a copy of the job card as proof.<br> VW South Africa have not been able to report with any cer*****y what caused the problem. In short...THEY DO NOT KNOW! Yet they refuse to take responsibility for the possibility that a major issue MAY have been overlooked during the service"
