Automotion Maintenance Plan

I bought my Polo GTI from Barons Woodmead in Sept 2011, I did not take out a 5 Year or 90 000km Automotion Maintenance Plan, because I thought it was too expensive at the time. In May 2013, I asked for a quote and purchased the Maintenance Plan, which supposedly to start from 01 June 2013 for 5 years or 90 000km. Upon my arrival from Indonesia on the 5 March. My car stood on 87546km, I took the car to Barons for a 90 000km Serviceand to do the brake Pads which was still covered under the Automotion plan. A day later received a call from Barons that VW SA said my maintenance plan terminated in 2016. Both Barons Woodmead were astounded by the authorisation and I phoned VW SA Customer Interaction Centre, I told them how can my Automotion plan have expired. But still had a year to go and also not reached 90 000km yet. The lady said no she will log the Complaint, and will get back to me the day after, in which she did. To my bitter disappointment, she told me that VW SA pushed my Auotmotion plan back to the original day I purchaesd the vehicle, that means I lost a year and a half which i paid for and now that is major concern for me because of this situation. That does not work that way at all, for example. if I buy a TV from a shop which had a 5 year warranty, b ut stood on the shop floor for a year, does that mean when i buy the TV i only get a 4 year warranty. That's absolute Bull. Barons and myself have been fighting this and VW SA is adament of not paying for my last service.

My car stood at Barons for 3 weeks, they were so helpful, they went that extra mile and really tackled VW SA. But they were adament of not helping me.

A Barons Woodmead Manager also phoned this one gentleman from VW CIC and initially said no its wrong, the plan starts from date of purchase of the Maintenance plan. A day later he changed his story and stuck with the same story as the other people before and stuck to there guns of not wanting to assist.

We also asked for them to furnish myself and Barons Woodmead the contract stipulating that clause, that if you purchase an Automotion Maintenance Plan from VW afterwards, the will start the contract from the day the vehicle was purchased, they said they will not send nothing to us and that they do not have proof of the contract with them at VW SA. How do they operate, why did they do this. That is ****************.

Can I ask anyone out there, of whom has had the same problem to assist me in tackling this case on what i should do, please?

I just want to commend VW SA and Barons Woodmead for the assistance in resolving the issue of my Automotion Plan on my Polo GTI. I want to say a special thank you to Alex Kagande of VW SA in Port Elizabeth, I really appreciate the service I received from PE.
In Addition, I would also like to commend Barons Woodmead for going that extra mile, like Anton Kruger and Donna Lee Marshall, for also going that extra mile for the Customer. Thank you so much!!
I would also like to say that's why I am an Avid and Proud owner of VW cars.
Keep it up!
