Audi Q5 Review – Ongoing Brake Noise Issue

I have been an Audi owner for several years and currently own an Audi Q5. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing due to a persistent issue that Audi/VW has been unable or unwilling to resolve.

My Audi Q5 produces a squeaky sound from the rear wheel when reversing and applying the brakes lightly. This is not an isolated incident. I experienced the exact same issue with my previous Audi A5, which suggests a recurring design or component problem rather than normal wear and tear.

I have taken the vehicle to authorized Audi dealerships multiple times for inspection and repair. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved. No permanent fix has been provided, and the problem continues to occur under normal driving conditions.

What is more concerning is that I have personally observed at least two other Audi Q5 vehicles with the same rear brake noise. This further indicates that the issue is known and widespread. Based on my experience, it appears that Audi/VW is not taking ownership of the problem or making a genuine effort to address it.

Given Audi’s reputation for quality and engineering, this lack of accountability is disappointing. I expected better support and a proper resolution, especially for a premium vehicle. Potential buyers should be aware of this recurring issue and the limited response from Audi/VW when it comes to resolving it.
