Air conditioning system does not work

I bought my car brand new in April 2014, and did not use the air conditioning system as it was during winter season, during September when it was starting to heat up I realized it does not work, i.e. it takes out hot air, and the car was due for service I took it in and requested that it be fixed, they fixed it, it worked for a day, took it back again for its second service, requested that they fix the air con again, again it was fixed and worked for a day, in total this air con has been fixed 5 times and it still doesn't work. For the 4th and 5th time going in for repairs, my car spent over 4 days at VW, leaving me stranded as a courtesy was never organised for me. My fear is this car will be out of warranty soon and I'm on my last service i.e. 60000km soon and it will still not work and I would, moving forward have to pay for the repairs myself and yet I bought this car brand new. And the heat is unbearable, and I'm paying for something that never worked.
