Adverse experience from Hatfield VW Rivonia
Hereunder is an e-mail I sent them which summarises my experience:
“Good day gentlemen,
I bought an Audi A5 from your dealership and took possession thereof on Wednesday of 14 March 2018.
The disc had already expired when I took possession of the vehicle. I was assured that the disc will be ready for collection on Monday, 19 March 2018 to no avail.
Later in the week I contacted, on Thursday 22/03/2018, your entity asking about the disc, I was told I’ll receive same by end of business as I had to embark on a trip to Lesotho. When I enquired further on the same day, I was told that the registration could not be effected but it will be first thing on Friday 23/03/2018.
I then postponed my travel plans for Thursday to Friday around 10:00am.
To my surprise, still on Friday the vehicle had not been registered and I travelled only with the vehicle finance agreement and border letter which were sent to me via email.
Yesterday, 28/03/2018, I called again to enquire about the disc as I will be traveling for Easter, nothing positive came out of the enquiry.
To date, more than two weeks of taking possession of the car, I am yet to receive the disc. Effectively I’m driving around with the vehicle *******ly.
I am not happy with the service I have received from our entity. What makes matters worse is that I always have to be the one calling to enquire about progress/update in the matter. I know as soon as the disc is available, I would be expected to travel from Centurion to collect it as I’m at your mercy.
I guess I don’t matter now that I have taken possession of the vehicle and your energies are focused only on new clients.
Kindly resolve my situation as a matter of urgency. I have a long trip awaiting me and cannot afford to travel later in the day.
Kind regards,”
