2023 Polo Life TSI 1.0 DSG - Faulty

I am disappointed with the new Polo Life TSI 1.0 DSG, bought the car brand new at VW Hatfield in Hatfield in Pretoria. Less than a month old the car would complain of Start/Stop in some instances just waiting for the gate to open it would would require the engine to be manually started. June 11 around 1 am I drove proved to Ndwedwe, on the way back started in Durban, as I was trying to join N3 most roads and on ramps were closed due to Comrades Marathon. The car being stuck in traffic for long periods started getting smells that one would identify as clutch smell. Next a notification on the screen popped up, Gearbox Overheating continue driving, from there did not drive even 5 metres which can be translated to about 20 minutes and the notification popped up again now being Gearbox Overheating stop the car. Stopped the car and called VW Roadside Assist, the car was taken to Weiss VW in Durban and few days later received a report nothing is wrong with the car, the fault was caused by driving style which I am yet to understand since the car was on drive given that it is a DSG, before actually getting the report the car is fine I reported other issues like the Start/Stop being faulty, car rolling back in a steep if it had stopped maybe in a traffic light, windows sometimes stalling when being closed. All these were reported as being fine. Reported the issue with VW South Africa and they said I must take the car somewhere else which I did explain it would be difficult to find the error as the scenario that caused it cannot be replicated. For some with all issues not being found, the car continued with all other issues until a few weeks after it reported on EPC and Start/Stop error being displayed, again with this issue no error was found as the car was taken to Hatfield VW, when collecting it I was told they changed the battery the battery power low which again was a surprise as the car was bought in end of February as new. As it is the car still has all the issues even with the new battery. I have tried contacting VW South Africa to get them to understand the car is faulty by involving them in the communication between me and Weiss VW for explanation on the driving style and they are refusing. I believe VW and it dealerships are aware of such issues and they are stalling attending to them or changing the car until is out of warranty. Mind you the car broke down on 14900 km on the board. Below is the mail I sent as mentioned earlier and the response as received from Weiss VW

Email content: As already stated telephonically the cars has had strange things which I had thought I would report when the car is taken in for service. I will just state all I deem to be not normal you will then decide on them:

1. In most cases when I stop as the gate opens, it is more likely to show a message "start engine manually" 2. When closing windows there are times when it would stop having closed halfway front and fully back, continues to fully close after a second or two 3. On a steep hill at times it rolls back, not sure if would stop because I always brake given that it happens on the road with traffic. 4. Changing to manual using those steering flaps there is times where it would feel like it forgot to accept gear to pick up speed immediately

Vehicle was driven and tested this morning. Upon test drive carried out adaption drive and basic setting, it was noted that the burning smell was caused due to the DSG clutches overheating which is caused by driving style. No repair can be performed to remove out the burning smell and the clutches are still in working condition.

With regard to the windows opening half way, they were performance tested and no faults were found.

Currently to date, we are working on the stop start issue.
