2022 Polo TSi R Line fault

I bought this demo Polo from Hoopers VW Durban on the 19th of May 2022 with 3200km mileage. In August it started by reporting error in start and stop for a while until I took it in to the dealership (Hoopers VW) and they mentioned that they will have to keep the car over night to charge the battery. I left with the car. A week later the same problem persisted and the EPC error was shown in the dashboard. I took the car and VW kept it for 2 days and after that 2 days they mentioned that they charged the battery and updated software, and all errors are gone. I collected the car at around 3pm, by 5pm later that day the same problems came back and a new problem of an engine light and the vehicle misfiring. Took videos and sent them to service advisor who then said I should bring it in on a Monday.

That Monday I decided to call VW SA and report these problems to them because I feel the car has factory errors. I spoke to a guy named Thando who promised to escalate my case to the dealership as well. The dealership requested that I bring the car back to them. They took it for about 3 days I think. They told me they have been testing the car and they do not see any errors. I drive away and the same thing happens a day later and I sent videos once more to my service advisor Tumi which showed an error in start and stop, EPC light, engine light and the engine misfiring, on this particular day the car could not even move with the accelerator floored down. I sent the car back to Hoopers VW again after also making it known to Thando that the same problems are persisting. Every time I would send the car in at Hoopers these errors do not show. On the 15th of December 2022 it showed the same errors and I drove to the dealership (Hoopers VW) again so that they can see these errors and I asked them to put the car in for diagnosis since it was showing the errors. I met a guy called Douglas who dismissed me so rudely and did not even care about what was happening with my car. He also said they have been checking my car for weeks and the repairs that are supposed to be done on my car will not be covered by the warranty. I asked him to check the car since it was showing all the errors, but that rude Douglas dismissed me without even doing that saying they would send me an email on the repairs that need to be done on the car.

VW hoopers wrote the following email detailing the problems with my car:

“Good day Mr Gqobo. Engine software update carried out as per test plan, vehicle tested, and misfire still present after road test. It has been established that the cause of misfire is carbon build up in the inlet valves, a high-quality fuel additive was then filled onto the tank at our cost and vehicle was required to be driven on an open road driving to burn out the excessive carbon build up. Should the misfire persist after the Fuel line cleaner has been used, the other repair option is to use a specific tool that utilises walnut granules to clean inlet valves as well as manifold. This method of repair involves stripping of the manifold and utilising a high-pressure air cleaner to blast the excessive carbon build up with the walnut granules. Unfortunately, this repair process is not covered by the maintenance plan/warranty as the issue is related to fuel quality.”

I reported the unfair treatment I received at the dealership detailing that I think Douglas rather displayed ****** connotations towards me by not even standing up from his desk to see the errors that I had been complaining about in my car. After I filed that complaint I received a call from Douglas shouting at me that he was not ****** towards me. What was strange is that after even saying he was not rude to me, he could not even recall me being in his office and said that he never even saw me that day. I found that very strange and concluded that he is indeed a ******. He dismissed me without even hearing what I was saying nor even knowing that I was standing in front of him in his office. There were two mechanics who were having a meeting with him in his office who can attest to this. On top of being made to drive a faulty Volkswagen now I have to deal with ****** employees from Hoopers VW.

I am very unhappy with how I was treated in your dealership and Hoopers VW sold me this car and now it seems like they do not even care. Right now, I am driving a car that even struggles to go up hills sometimes and they do not even care. I can share these videos on how horrible it is to drive this car.

I have also been trying to contact Thando (From VW SA) for the past 2 days now to get feedback from him but he is not returning my phone calls after leaving 2 messages for him. This to me only means that you as VW SA do not give a damn about me and the faulty vehicle that you sold me. I have been trying to find your complaints email on your website so as to attach the videos and pictures to no avail. I have been sold a car that has a factory fault and I would like to request for VW SA to take this car and give me another car. I have owned this car for 7 months and it has been giving me problems for 5 months straight. Right now I cannot even drive uphill and you guys seem not to care.
