2014 VW Polo 1.2 TSI Highline DSG
Good Day,
I purchased a 2014 VW Polo 1.2 TSI Highline DSG, on the 22 July 2017 from VW Princes Benoni from a Mastercar dealer at +- 69000km. After taking the car for a service at 75000km at Hatfield VW Rivonia on the 28 September 2017, there was no mention of any major faults on the vehicle.
On the 27 December 2017, the car alerted me that the coolant level is low and I refilled it with G12 Coolant. On the 29 December 2017 it showed the same message and once again topped up the coolant and noticed that there was a problem due to the same problem/error happening so soon, and decided to take the car back to VW Rivionia for a diagnostic.I kept coolant in the car, due the holidays and couldnt take the car back.Only on the 3 January 2018,I managed to book the car in for a check/diagnostic.On the 4 January 2018 I took the car to Hatfield VW Rivonia, and the diagnostic picked up that the Waterpump housing(quick question, generally how long is the lifespan of a waterpump), had to be replaced and quoted +-R11000 to replace the part. I queried the issue with James Nelson at VW Princess Benoni, and he dismissively advised that it is a wear and tear item and that I am liable for the replacement costs. Disappointed by the response I then came home and also noticed a few other irregularities.I noticed that the 2 headlights were different and that the bumper was not professionally sprayed and not aligned properly.I wasnt made aware of any of these when purchasing the vehicle. Please advise as to what to do?
