2014 Polo 1.2 Highline Engen problems
Long Story short:
I bought a brand new VW Polo 1.2 Highline at the beginning of October 2014 and was very happy with it.
Towards the end of June 2015, the car had a breakdown (after only doing about 20350km - on a new engen). I was informed that this was the Cam Shaft Adjuster that failed and it damaged the cylinders. Car was repaired under warranty at least.
After having fuel leak issues in September 2015, it is now repaired.
Surely new cars are not supposed to give these issues. I wanted a new car, but after meetings, they informed me they fixed all issues and will not give me a new car.
My concern is now the issue with the engen failure I had. I asked on many occasions to get a full report on why the Cam Shaft Adjuster failed, but to date (22 October 2015), have not received any answer.
I found an article that was published in May 2015 where VW Australia recalled about 2300 Polos with the Cam Shaft Adjuster issue. At least they recalled it in time to replace the faulty parts before it could damage the engen. VWSA said that my car was in no way related to that, but I beg to differ.
I do not feel that the \new car"is trustworthy anymore"""
