2012 Polo TSI GTI DSG

Good morning I purchased a 2012 polo tsi gti dsg in January 2018. when I bought the car it only had 75000kms on the clock. The car had been serviced with Barons Edwin Swales Durban on the 29th June 2018. I had a look at the history of the car & noticed that the water pump was replaced at 39439kms. This is a fairly new car so what is the need to change the water pump so quickly. In September 2018 I had to replace the water pump again which cost me around R4500, which I thought was very ridiculous because not long ago it was replaced. From the time I purchased the car I noticed that there is a shortage of oil after 2 weeks of driving but my boss has the same car and doesn't fill oil at all. This bothered me because I thought there was something wrong with my car having to fill 1Litre of oil every 2 weeks. I booked the car in for a checkup on 01st November 2018 at Barons Edwin swales Durban because I thought that there was an oil leak, generally cars don't use up so much oil unless there's a leak. I received a call from the service advisor telling me that they did diagnostics and found no oil leak, I was also told that this is normal on turbo cars, but I was still confused because my boss has the exact same car & he has no problem with oil in his car. On Sunday 4th November I was driving back from Pietermaritzburg and the car started to jerk continuously & I noticed the EPC light as well as the ENGINE light were flashing continuously, so I pulled over onto the shoulder of the road and switched the car off immediately. I took the car manual & read it to find out the type of fault. According to the book, it was engine management system that had a problem & the catalytic converter fault. I booked the car in at Barons Edwin Swales on 6th November 2018 for an assessment of the faults. The car is still drivable under 3000Rpm's, once you accelerate over that it tends to jerk erratically and the engine light comes on. I left the car at Barons Edwin Swales for them to diagnose the fault. On the 6th November 2018 at 13:30pm I received a call from the service advisor telling me that there could be numerous problems with the car, firstly the timing chain, secondly valves & pistons & lastly the bore could be damaged. I told him that the car is fairly new and well taken care of, all the services were done on time & now there's only 99000Kms on the clock. I asked him for a rough figure for the repairs and was told that it was about R100000 if the bore is damaged, I almost collapsed when I heard the amount. After the call I decided to go onto the internet to read feedback of this car & there was no positives, there had been so many complaints about this model, personally I think that this model should be recalled and proper design should be done on this car. Out of Goodwill & Integrity I asked that assistance be given to me to in order for me to sort my vehicle out, I am absolutely stressed out because I don't have that kind of money to pay for repairs, today I called the case manager at VWSA and was told that there's nothing they can do for me. I thereafter asked to speak to her superior & was told that there is nobody above her so I am assuming that she owns VOLKSWAGEN. I would never advise someone to buy this model GTI, it is very troublesome guys, go onto the net and read blogs about these cars. I will never buy another VW product after the ******* service I received.
