Poor service

I have taken my phone in to have my screen replaced as it got damaged. As a red plus client Vodacom strive to have a loan phone for you when you hand in your phone for repairs and this is one of the reasons why I took it to this shop. (Tygervalley Vodacom Repair Shop) When I asked to have a loan phone there was 3 phones available and not one in working condition.

1. When I gave in my phone we have removed the sim and the memory card from my phone and the assistant inserted my sim and memory card into the loan phone. She was busy for a while and then after a few minutes I saw on the screen of the loan phone that there is some formatting happening I immediately realised that there is something wrong because of this formatting. I asked the assistant what she is formatting. "O its nothing" she said which I immediately said this is not good I will loose all my memory on the memory card (photos of last weeks holiday). She said again no nothing will happen, and then I said remove my card immediately please and put it back into my phone only to realise it was to late memory card is completely clean no photos on it nothing!!!! That left me very upset and asked her why she did that, her reply was that the phone asked her to do this. This is just showing me her competence is not up to level where is should be. I kept calm and just said to her please finish the booking and give me a loan phone so I can go home. I still said to her do not stress so much as I was afraid she could do more harm if I had to have a go at her. So I left there with the loan phone only to realise when I wanted to make a call that this loan phone is not working at all no signal. I went back to the shop as I was only outside the shopping centre when I wanted to make a call.

Just made it in time before they close (7pm) and showed them that this loan phone is not working. Someone else helped me now as the previous lady has left home just after I left the shop. They could not get the phone to work and I left at 7pm with no loan phone and nothing on my memory card, and very upset.

This morning I went back to the shop to get another loan phone. But with my big surprise when I wanted a loan phone the same lady that helped me last night has asked me for my receipt of purchase of my phone. I said to her this is something which I do not keep with me and don't even know if I still have it. She rep**** that they will not work on the phone will just send it back as they do not know if it is a Vodacom phone and if it is under warranty. (WHAT?) It is a contract how could they possibly not know if this is a Vodacom phone or not ?? I have even got them to phone the branch in Pretoria where I purchase the phone to find the detail from them, they could not even help us. (WHAT A MESS) I said to the lady from start this is a personal insurance claim not a warranty claim or any claim against Vodacom but I just want a quote from Vodacom that I can give it to my personal insurance company for them to approve and then they can fix the phone. But no she said they will not look at the phone if there is no proof of purchase. The person in Pretoria even asked me why she can not take the phone in but she just refused and said no she can not do it???? Now if I had a document how will she new that this is for real if they cant even look it up on the system. (it just does not make sense) Well I left there with my phone and went across to the WE-FIXX shop and they took in the phone with no problems and they will contact me when the quote is ready.

And on top of this when I asked how to make a backup last night I got told they wont help me unless I pay R299 then the will try to assist. This is **************** for a person that really spend R2K plus a month on a cell phone account and for 15years the same number and contract. I think they take each and every penny out of us where they can. I so much whish for more competition then they will sing a different song. They know they run the monopoly but Vodacom "wake up" times are changing. Believe you me I will not renew my contract again with Vodacom again, never ever again.

Vodacom collect money while you can because I will not come back to Vodacom and this is a promise. I will post my new contract on this website the moment this current one stops and it will not be Vodacom.

I only whish that there is more people making use of this site to see all the silly things happening. All these big company's think they can do as they like "Yes you can but be aware that this will not last long the days of making your customers happy has died within the "big" companies because if I leave you most properly get 10 new ones in. I hope this stays this way only because you change your attitude.

thanks
