Out of box failure

I upgraded a data contract on the 11/5/17 and chose a LENOVO MIIX 310 tablet as the device. After a few days the tablet gave a 'blue screen' and I returned it on the 18/5/17 to the same outlet as where I did the upgrade (within the 7 day period).

This is where my troubles started. I was told my the salesman that Vodacom will return it as it appears to be an out of box failure. The next day the sales team at the same outlet advised me that I get a replacement on the Monday and the out of box failure was confirmed by them.

On the following tuesday (23/5/17) I went back to the outlet to enquire about the replacement unit and was then told that it must still be decided whether it is an out of box failure or not (two different stories from the same outlet)

Various calls to Customer Relations also yealded no information as to when I will receive a replacement device. In fact I received am email from Customer Relations indicating that they do not veiw it as an out of box failure as it is past the 7 days !! I then sent proof of this back to them. It was also indicated in this email that they do not do replacements after the 7 days (which i understand but in this case the failure was within 7 days).

It is now my understanding that the motherboard of the new tablet needs replacing AND that Vodacom are doing ME a favour by sending the unit away as it is the customers responsibility to deal with the repair as was told to me !

Finally I was told by the CRM Department to be patient !

It is now nearly two weeks since the tablet was returned and I still have no indication on when a replacement tablet will be supppied to myself.

This is not the right way to treat a long standing customer ! Well done VODACOM DATA STORE TYGERVALLEY !!
