Failure to PORT my cell no from Mumbai to Delhi

I have recently shifted to Delhi from Mumbai and initiated the porting of my post paid number *** from my old company to my own name. The support at Green Park vodafone office was good but vodafone kept issuing different formats for the letter of request from me to them, each one of which I got signed by my ex company and kept giving to them. All papers were checked and found fine and I was even asked to and paid up for the post paid account on 5th March and they finally accepted in the porting request. I kept calling each day and hear of no real progress and finally got a sms on 10th march saying that my request had been rejected as the letter of authorization is invalid, followed by another message that there is no letter!!! Continued calls to Green Park office only get some excuses of them following up with higher levels - does this company want to do business or are people in it on a paid holiday and refuse to take on a paying client. Privatisation from BSNL was ushered in with the promise of better service - we are headed for a disaster as I far as I can see.
