Zero value for moeny

Good day Sameera Chetty and Craig Ragiah,

I took out a promotional data sim (60 gb day and 30 gb night) contract on the 2nd of February for R299 with Lindi Ntobela. I received the sim on the 9th of February and activated it on the same day.

After a week, the data was finished so I called in to query how 60 gb of prorated data could be finished so quickly? Fine, I was advised to wait for the 1st of March as I will receive the full allocation. The 1st of March came, and I only received 30 gb day and 30 gb night. I queried it and I called in to query what the problem could be.

Mind you, I have 2 other contracts with Vodacom, and I must that this this has been my only poor interaction with Vodacom. I thought the whole point of doing sales telephonically is to enhance customer experience, but this process has been nothing but a nightmare.

I have since requested for the promotional data to be allocated or the call reference and contract, which I have not received. It is from my perspective that this is a breach of the Consumer Protection Act since I am not receiving the service I am paying for. Further, it is constitutionally enshrined that a person has a right to the data she is paying for. I will be going to the Ombudsman and ICASA because the payment was debited from my account yesterday (01/03/2021).

Beyond just the inconvenience, the deprivation of my right to enjoy services and the lack of care towards me as a consumer, I have in the interim lodged a formal complaint on Hello Peter and published your names because I see that you are refusing to resolve this amicably (requested to be contact by you as Lindi’s senior). Totally appalling experience for a network provider that prides itself as being the “best.”

Desired Outcome: Date to be allocated as per the contract Contract to be sent Call recording for the sale
