ZERO Stars!

This review should be ZERO stars!

Trying to effect a simple upgrade on-line is an absolute nightmare. The *********** and pathetic service levels are laughable. Placed an upgrade order on-line on my online profile. Order number confirmed by way of e-mail from Vodacom but nothing further happened. Tried to track order on system to no avail. Call centre advised no order on system. After being pushed to another two different call centres eventually a consultant advised that the order was not processed further as the colour phone I chose was out of stock...... thank-you Vodacom for letting me know!! Re-did order all over again over the phone and received another order number and e-mail confirmation. Signed the new contract document and sent back. Received a call from the Vodacom Upgrade Confirmation Centre - they said they could not verify as my ID number was not on their system?? *** - after 35 years of being a Vodacom client and after having had many contracts and still having contracts they said sorry my ID is not on the system! On my account profile on-line however low and behold my ID number so I just cannot fathom that Vodacom's IT systems are so abjectly pathetic.

Thank-you for taking the time to investigate and respond. After further calls I eventually managed to get hold of a further consultant,
thank-you Karabo. He stated that he could not understand why the previous consultant advised that my ID was not on the Vodacom system as he had all the correct information, and my upgrade was 100% in order. Vodacom needs to ensure that its various "systems" are talking to each other in order to eliminate frustrating issues like this. Grateful for the prompt responses and follow-up.
