Your international roaming has been activated - REALLY???

Vodacom suggests that youactivate your international roaming at least 7 days before you travel...which I did 10 days before (just to be safe). I immediatley recieved a sms stating that "your international roaming has been activated". WOW, that was so easy....yeah right. On arrival in Dubai, I turned my phone on only to find that I had no service, so being the patient person I am, I thought I would check again the minute I landed in the UK.....SURPRISE, SURPRISE, still no service. So I sent an email to customer services on the 14/03 explaing that I am in the UK to be with my terminally ill father and I HAD to have the roaming sorted (my father is on his death bed and it is imperative that I am able to phone a hospital, doctor or ambulance). Typical Vodacom service, no one has bothered to reply. I find this totally unacceptable! I will be cancelling my contract.......

Ok. So I received an email from Vodacom on the 17/03 requesting certain information as my account security is of utmost importance to them. I rep**** immediately with the requested information. It is now Sunday the 19th....still no further contact. And I am still unable to make calls. I wonder....does the emergency services have a WhatsApp number because I still cannot call. And as my Dad's condition worsens daily, I wonder what I will do when I need emergency help...Vodacom has left a VERY bitter taste in my mouth....
