Your customers deserve better Vodacom
The short version - My fibre services were meant to be cancelled on the 1st of August 2022 and once completed my installation details were to be supp**** so that the "line" could be transferred to a new service provider.
I logged a call when the services weren't cancelled on the 1st and also and followed up a few times, but my connection only "stopped working" on the 12th of August.
Despite following op on the 13th of August, I have to date not received my installation details to pass on to the new service provider which also means no internet connectivity since the 12th of August.
During my calls and so called escalations no one was ever able to give me timelines or eta's for resolution.
This is truly unacceptable for a supposed "technology" company knowing full well the implications when households who depend on connectivity for various reasons are suddenly left in the lurch.
Your customers deserve better Vodacom. People change service providers for many different reasons and are often with the same provider multiple times over time but an experience like this is motivation never to use Vodacom for any services again.
Thanks for the feedback I will follow up accordingly as there seems to be a discrepancy in what other service providers are asking for and what you can supply.
On another note, during the telephone call with Mahali (not sure about the spelling), I posed a question. During the initial line installation, the conduit that was installed underground and leading to the house is only thick enough to house one fibre line.
I have been informed that other service providers can use the conduit bit will have to remove the existing fibre line it contains.
Can this be done, do I need permission as I don't want to remove it only to be informed that I was not allowed to do so.
Your feedback will be appreciated.
Regards,
Willem
