You think a sim swap should be a painless and seamless process, but not at Vodacom!
I've never been so disappointed and inconvenienced by a service just like what i'm currently going through with Vodacom.
I've been unreachable on my number from the day i submitted my insurance claim (16/07/2019) to date, nobody seem to be able to assist me with a simple sim swap but what the consultants and store agents seem to be doing is blame each other for not helping me with phrases like "They should have helped you" and "they should have logged an inquiry for you" (I can't stress this enough, i'm really disappointed on their level of professionalism),they then keep on sending me around "You need to go back to the store" or "You need to call the customer care, they should be able to assist" until my account gets locked out for a ********** investigation which I then need to wait for 24hrs.
In the process I had to buy 2 contract sim cards because apparently the first one was cancelled because I didn't answer my phone "during business working hours" and no appointment or heads up I was giving on the process, even when I got the second one I still didn't get my issue resolved which has been going on for over a month now.
You can imagine how much of an inconvenience it has been where all Apps that you use requires OTP authentication and especially when part of side hustles requires you to make online deposits and withdrawals.
Both my cellphone contracts are due for an upgrade in January, I can guarantee you that i'll be cancelling both after such a horrible experience. As paying clients/customers we want to be where we're valued and appreciated.
To my surprise i was checking my statements and noticed that for over a year they've been debiting me for airtime to a number that's supposedly canceled and hasn't been active since. I need this to be resolved. Thanks. #VodacomContract
