You pay more than what you are quoted

In 2011 my service was in arrears, but up to date by Dec 2011. The service was suspended but not re-instated after bringing it up to date. I was unable to get an explanation and asked if I could cancel the contract. I was quoted an amount at Ceres, agreed to this and was billed in Jan 2012. In May 2012 I received a demand for much more which never reflected on any statement.

Account was settled and I received a ZERO balance statement from Vodacom.

A year later on 22 November 2013 I received a final demand from VVM Debt Collectors and a few days later a SPECIAL DISCOUNTED SETTLEMENT OFFER from the same. Still unable to get proper assistance from Vodacom and out of desperation I paid and informed VVM of such. I have complained to the National Consumer Commission and ICASA but am unable to get any action from either.

Now Nimble Collection Services phones me almost daily and won't listen to any explanation or reason. I can not except that I have to pay more than I was quoted and would not have cancelled if I was quoted the amount I already paid.

I app**** for credit and was informed that I am blacklisted by Vodacom. So this now also affects my credit rating
