You gotta pay but we can give you a statement - Useless Vodacom at it again!

I had a cellphone contract that expired in may this year. Towards the latter part of last year we relocated abroad and at some point one or two of the debit orders did not go through and eventually the debit orders seemed to stopped. When we realised this we engaged with Vodacom and a payment was made to have the account up to date and included at least two months payment in advance. This was done round Feb 2020. Once again we did receive a statement nor further communication from Vodacom. In May we once again engaged with Vodacom to ask for statement and confirm if there were any outstanding balance prior to conclusion of the contract. Vodacom confirmed that there was no outstanding balance. Once again I asked for a detailed statement for record. None was sent. At this point we assumed all is well. Contract ended, we went prepaid and surprise surprise earlier this month we get a snotty message stating we owe R300 odd and they are taking legal steps. This I find quite amusing as we ask for statements numerous times and vodacom just cannot get that done - quite useless. Today once again we engaged with them (still happy to pay what is due) but I want to have a statement showing the payments and balances of the last 12 months. But yet again they just just cant supply a statement - just sending another message that this is with some legal team. Well, to be frank, maybe the laywers will send me the statement then? I will gladly pay - just send me a statement that reflect the payments and balances from invoices of the last 12 months or sue me!!

Dear Vodacom, your response is nonsense - no one from your Social Media team made contact after I wrote the complaint. I asked for a detailed statement numerous times via the social media route with no success. If you want you so-called outstanding money, you need to send me a detailed statement for the last 12 months. If not, I won't pay - also note that I will use all the correspondence when you want to challenge me with your lawyers or debt collectors. No statement no payment!
