You are at risk when using Vodacom, protect your company and staff

For years now I have had international calling and roaming with Vodacom. 6 months ago I upgraded my phone and contract and someone at Vodacom turned off all my services. Despite several attempts to get it working again, I found myself in the UK with no service. I had my wife call in South Africa for help, they refused to help. They told me to use Tobi, Tobi does not address roaming issues. I left several requests for them to contact me on what’s app, nothing. I have been email them for a week now, nothing. They even told me to call them on a toll free number from a Vodacom number, how does one make a call from the UK on a phone that is not concerned to a network by the very same service provider telling you to call them. If you travel internationally you are at great risk with Vodacom, they simply don’t care and will do nothing to assist you. I am lucky that my first international visit was not into Africa. This is a very unsafe situation and leaves you exposed by a service provider that could not be bothered to help fix what hey got wrong to start with. If you are a corporate company, you need to rethink the impact this situation has on your company and its employees and the risk associated with a none responsive service provider like Vodacom. This has been extremely stressful to travel with no communication abilities.
