Wrongfully debit order & Bad service

Dear Vodacom,

Please be advised that a debit order of R1,344.65 was wrongfully taken off my account (Account I ********** -8) on 03/01/2017.

This after porting my number successfully on 28/11/2016 and confirming I have settled by account in full with the premature Quotation on 16/11/2016, and it was confirmed on 3 occations with Vodacom Billing Department and Porting Department that all accounts have been settled in full and nothing is further outstanding, as I ported to MTN and my number was reasigned to prepaid.

On multiple occassions I made 100% sure that all accounts was settled before I moved away from Vodacom.

Why did this debit order go off and I feel this was done not in good faith.

This is one of the many reasons why I left vodacom, after many loyal years as a valued customer.

This is rediculous how you deal with customers, after we are always the victim and have to follow up on queries, as you do not respond at emails etc. after waiting the alloted turnaround time?

There was noting owed on my account and please make sure that you fully update your details and credit these charges accordingly, as I have settled all amounts after moving to prepaid.

Dear Eltino,

Thank you for coming back to me finally, as one literately have to chase Vodacom every single time just to get feedback.

As per our recorded telephone call today, 06/01/2016, you have received my feedback, how I feel about the situation and you have all the facts.

I as the consumer was not informed accordingly and I as the consumer has to pay the price.

I hope this is not how Vodacom treats all it's clients, as that is not service.

I thank you for at least coming back to me, but I still do not agree with the outcome (you have the voice recordings to prove why I'm reacting this way).

As I have ported my number in November 2016, and I'm not a Vodacom client anymore, why did you take a debit order of my account on 03/01/2017 & why do you state below that if I would like to cancel still: "Based on the above, should you wish to cancel the contract that you have with Vodacom you are more than welcome to do so. However, in line with the CPA you shall be liable for"

I'm no longer with Vodacom and have no contract with you anymore.

Please for the life on me, make sure that all is updated on your system to not any form of contract etc. as I'm not a Vodacom client anymore, effectively from November 2016

Please confirm receipt hereof and acknowledge accordingly
