wrong insurance allocated

I bought an Iphone 5s last year feb. previous to that one I had an iphone contract with Vodacom. my warranty expired end feb this year and my phone broke in march. The phone could not be repaired and Vodacom insurance informed me that my insurance does not cover iphone. I am upset that I paid insurance for a year and then told I am not covered for the phone I have. the service received was bad. I am unhappy with Vodacom and can't wait for the contract to end and move from being ********** by Vodacom. The insurance couldn't offer me a new iphone but wants to offer me a refurbished phone which they recokon its new? what's that:-(
