Wrong billing on a new contract (not according to the advertised brochure) Ref. ***
I took a new line contract with Mall of the North Vodacom (My number ********** ) in August 2017. The product I chose was a Samsung S8 plus Free Samsung J5 prime @ R649 a month. Surprisingly I'm currently billed R880. I enquired with Vodacom customer care (082 111) and they told me that what I'm billed is correct, I explained that I took the package in August and it was advertised at R649 but why was I **** to and they said I must go back to the store.
I went to the sales rep who assisted me and he loaded a service request but the results indicated that Í'm billed correctly and I said why was the product advertised in a lower amount but billed differently and I know other people who took the same contract and are paying the advertised amount.
I tried to contact the Mall of the North Vodacom manager telephonically as I'm staying far from the shop and he is forever busy doesn't return calls is like he doesn't entertain complaints from clients and he instructed the staff not to transfer calls to him. I went to the store and requested to see the manager and surprisingly he told his staff that he is not aware of my complain and cant assist me as the sales rep who assisted me was not in without even seeing my face. I insisted to see him because as a manager he must account for what his subordinates do. He came and I explained my complain to him and showed him the brochure (August 2017 brochure) of the product I took and he agreed that something is wrong he will investigate and revert back to me in 24hrs.
He has never called to explain what is happening. The total difference from the advertised amount and what I'm being billed is 'R5500 in 24 months and I feel like I'm being taken for a ride. The consultants on 082 111 tell me that the store must rectify the problem but the store is not willing to assist.
If Vodacom cant rectify the problem they rather cancel the contract and I will give them their phones back as I can't be in a contract with a company that misled me. I want to be billed in line with the advertised product that I chose and if the sales rep loaded something that I did not choose or agree to Vodacom must rectify it as its not my fault and they must refer to the August 2017 brochure for the product I chose.
They must improve on their complaints management system as once they start deducting your money they no longer care about the service you receive.
