Would not recommend Vodacom to anyone

Asking on behalf of 2 elderly people....

Why is it so difficult to cancel a contract with vodacom?

If you take out a contact for 2/3 years, why is the contact being upgraded without our consent, and this after, we specifically asked for the contact to be stopped?

We have been waiting for over 2 months for them to finish listening to the voicenotes and get back to us!!! We called numerous times and visited the store to solve this, but it keeps on being "escalated," and yet we must just pay bills on top of bills.

They send us from pillar to post, and the issue is still not solved.

Second one: Two telephone numbers, where the 1 number was canceled 'successfully' in December and was stopped 31 January 2024. Only paid for the one number until Aug 2024 where the canceled number all of a sudden popped up again on bill, enquired immediately and was told to 1st pay and than they will be able to assist with he query. We paid, and was not billed again for October and November, December the bill came again with the number and an upgrade that we did not ask for, this was enquired immediately and canceled but now we are told we are liable to pay for this.

Can someone kindly please assist. 🙏

Reviewer Update
When they called for cancelation the consultant mislead us by saying my father has been a loyal client for years (highly rated in vodacom) and will sent "free gifts" for the loyalty but when we received the tablets and paperwork it stated it was an upgrade (THAT WE DID NOT ASK FOR) we immediately sent this back and went to vodacom century city to ask for help, the consultant in store was unable to assist us and also escalated this. We have been calling and they said they will listen to the voicenotes and get back to us, 2 months later and nothing yet.
