Worst Vodacom Online order experience. Don't know what to do anymore.
I have 3 contracts with Vodacom. I decided to use Vodacom's website to order an upgrade for one of my contracts as well as add a 4th contract where we port a CellC prepaid number of mine.
I placed this order online on Thursday 28 March 2018 at 09:38AM.
The order numbers are: - VODACOMONLIN- ********** ********** 35 for the upgrade. - VODACOMONLIN- ********** ********** 83 for the new contract and porting.
I was called on Thursday morning around 8-9AM asked if I would be available at the delivery address the next day, 5 April, to sign for the parcel from your courier.
5 April came and went. I spent around 1-2 hours attempting to talk to someone at Vodacom Online who could assist me instead of giving excuses and saying this is all of a sudden on backorder now. I contacted my local Cellucity at Canal Walk and asked them if they have stock of the same phone in the same colour. To which they said yes but it was for R40 more per month. So naturally I want the Vodacom online order to conclude. But for some reason, a massive company like Vodacom is dishing these contracts out through third party stores no problem, but let me make the mistake of ordering from Vodacom directly via the their website and now I'm stuck in limbo. When I asked to escalate this issue with any managers at Vodacom Online I was given the sad excuse every time that nobody was available as they were in meetings. How do you ensure your staff operate properly with no oversight from anybody? A big corporation such as Vodacom shouldn't struggle this much with such menial things.
The last Vodacom Online rep I spoke to also had the nerve to put the phone down on me because god forbid she couldn't handle me swearing in frustration due to this inconvenience. Your staff have no respect for customers and think saying sorry and talking down to them is going to resolve the issue.
I am seriously considering terminating all my Vodacom contracts and moving to another mobile network because this is not the first time I've experienced this level of service. 2 years ago when I took out 2 contracts via Vodacom Online we had very similar issues. So much so to the point that Vodacom's Social Team organised for us to get the same deal at a local store that had stock. I don't know if Vodacom is willing to make up for its mistakes like it used to but I'm not feeling any motivation to continue using Vodacom after this experience. I thought customer loyalty was at least worth something but turns out I pay for 3 contracts, wanted a 4th and Vodacom couldn't give a damn for *****ing me around on my order.
I thought online ordering was supposed to be convenient but there's no organization and plenty miscommunication from the get go with these people.
