Worst treatment of client

Vodacom cut my cell phone service, without any prior notification, and apparently due to my billbeing excessivlely high. I could not even connect to any data service using an external wifi router because that is how Vodacom blocks phones! Ridiculous I feel. worse still as my wifi router is from Vodacom.

This being said, I have not received a bill from them in months, depite requesting it several times.

In March this year, I requested raoming services to be activated and the call centre agent assured me that there is now only one roaming package I could activate. I found this strange as I travelled for over 2 weeks in December from the United States to Central America. I activated a package for roaming online - something that was supposedly not avaiable in March.

When I travelled in December 2016, I used data for Whatsapp, Facebook. and I made and received phone calls. My cell phone bill was just over R4000; which i though was reasonable given the usage.

In March 2017, I travelled for one week and did not use my mobile data much as I was mostly in Wifi areas. Upon return I received an sms stating my usage was high (over R25000) and there was a number to call to sort it out. Whilst still at the airport, I called that number, to find out I had reached an agent responsible for making payment arrangements. Naturally I did not make any payment arrangement because I did not understand how my bill could be so high.

I queried this with Vodacom customer Care on 14 March, and was told the following:

* I could not dispute the bill until after 3rd April, when then bills should be confirmed.

* I would not lose use of my phone to make calls or use data

* I would receive an itemised bill for the latest biling period.

Today, 05 April 2017, I logged a dispute for the problem and the bill and asked for my phone to be unblocked. I was told it takes 7 business days to resolve the dispute; during this time my phone will be unblocked - but can randomly get blocked.

To date, I have not recived an itemised Bill. Vodacom insists I owe them a huge sum of money and therefore they can cut my cell phone service when they wish to.

In respect of Treating Customers Fairly - How does Vodacom rank in this aspect. I am utterly disgusted by the service from Vodacom. And I have been a customer for many years.

As soon as this fiasco has been resolved, I will terminate my contract.
