WORST SERVICE VODACOM!!!!!!!
I had one of the worst experiences in my entire life at your Vodacom shop in Sandton city level 6 opposite the Edgar's store. even after sending an email, calls and sms' to their ceo Mr. Joosub, I have gotten zero communication regards my status of cancelation or complaint. It has been a journey that has absolutely blown me away in the most negative way possible that I can assure you I will never ever recommend or have any dealings with Vodacom ever again.
I bought a phone on 16 July and I was interested in the Samsung s10+ mobile phone, but they didn't have the s10 plus on display next to the s10. I app**** and got the device same time. However when I walked out a friend of mine at the cell c shop brought to my attention that it was not the plus but the normal s10. I immediately went back and joked that I would like to return and a gentleman by the name of Ernest was very aggressive. I then explained to the consultant assisting that I didn't want to return but I thought it was the s10 plus. So I had a device I had no interest in carrying and I was told it would have to be canceled and I would have to re-apply.
I then let them know that I would like to try any possible route of getting the device that would avoid submitting another credit enquiry as this would bring down my credit score that would affect me in the process of trying to own a home. I asked if they could refer to the same credit report rather, that they got when the first application was successful.
After he asked the manager i was told to come back the following day to re-apply of which they would still do a reassessment and a credit enquiry which was my dispute in the process . I walked out feeling as if they did not try to even find out if there is another way, I went to the vodacom at Mandela Square and they all showed interest in my story and unfortunately they couldn't assist because it's a different franchise they said.
On the 17 July I called their headoffice *** and was greeted so unpleasantly by a lady with a colored accent who repeatedly addressed me with a 'listen here' unfortunately this is the only way I can describe her as she refused to provide me with her name. All because I couldn't provide her with the store managers name and insisted she couldn't help. After being put on hold and then dropped, I dialed and got to another lady who forwarded my case to the field manager who said he would find out but it would take a couple of days to get back to me to see if there was another way to handle the situation but mentioned that unfortunately that is their procedure.
I then decided to return the phone and went back to the store and as I tried to explain to Ernest how I came to that decision he basically disregarded my intent on still trying to find another way and continually cut me off and made me feel so bul**** that I almost cried!
I requested to have any document, a proof of cancelation or any document to show that I returned back the device back as I didn't even get a copy of the contract and nothing on email even the previous day. The device was not even checked or box opened to check if it had any cracks or its functionality when I was still in the store. I was issued with it still sealed and went home. I returned it the following morning still sealed with all the accessories and receipt. But How do I walk out without any slip, any invoice or proof of cancelation and be expected to be okay with that? And no contract. How do I prove I even returned the device? All hell broke lose just for requesting documentation!
He then raised his voice and told me they do not work like a certain retailer that I will not mention and that's not how things are done here, I asked him what this retailer had to do with anything( this might be because he is aware I work there) he further raised his voice and was so impatient he shouted angrily 'what do you want' I was calm and actually was so stunned the lady who was with me could not believe the treatment he was giving us I was at a loss for words. He ended up engaging me with that tone a female colleague of his had to take over. Another customer could see how bad things were that he gave me the ceo's number and email since he is a big client. Would he have done that if he didn't think I was surely being mistreated and handled aggressivly. Never have I ever been that humiliated! This is the service that is being provided at your branch, Ernest should not feel entitled to address customers with a lack of respect and be the first to raise his voice and confidently display his impatience! This is unacceptable. I have never felt so much hostility I question is it because of my race or age that I was treated with such disregard?
After being promised a call back to confirm cancelation by yesterday nobody bothered, I doubt they actually even processed it, INSTEAD yesterday I was debited R278. 16 yesterday that I have no idea what this is about and gave no authorisation to.?????????
All I wanted was to take the more advanced version not even to cancel. I have many years in customer services this by far was the worst experience I have ever had. I had no interest in posting on social media. This is how the company is being represented and I am left with a bad taste just thinking about Vodacom because of Ernest. Yes I have #GotAlotToSay!!!!
Don't even think about trying to be in business with them you will go from excitement to pure regret, distaste and disgust. The word anger doesn't do justice in describing how I feel when it comes to Vodacom. my email is *** *** I want urgent feedback
