Worst Service provide

In August 2017 I signed a new contract with Vodacom and I was pretty happy with the deal that was made. Due to up and coming life events, I decided to prematurely cancel the contract. I called the accounts department and started making arrangements to have my account prematurely settled. I received the quotes and made the payments to Vodacom. I confirmed payment with the accounts department and their people confirmed that we are settled and nothing was owed. Proof of this was sent back and forth between myself and Vodacom.

Thinking that we were done, I didn't make any further payments to Vodacom as its people confirmed the contract was settled. Only to receive a call from Vodacom on a daily basis for the entire duration of January asking me to pay my monthly bill. I informed them on a almost daily basis that the contract has been settled. Everyday they would then transfer me to the accounts department, who would then confirm that the contract is cancelled. Yet the next day I receive an automated call asking me to make a payment. This went on for a few weeks in January up until I called them and only to find out that my account was suddenly in arrears for one of the contracts I had with Vodacom. The very same contract that was confirmed to be settled.

We resolved the matter and I moved on to other things. Or so I thought, only to start receiving calls again in Feb, the situation repeated itself till mid March. I called them again and someone finally picked up the issue and they resolved it. I checked my online Vodacom profile to see that I now owed Vodacom R1. I ignored this and went my own ways.

Upon applying for a new home recently, I got declined on the basis that my Vodacom account is in arrears for R17600, the exact amount that was required of me to pay as a settlement. Not only was the arrear amount hugely wrong, but it also reflects as my monthly installment to Vodacom. I called them immediately to find out what the hell is going on. Only to be transferred from one department to the other till my phone died. Being stressed about this situation, I was forced to put my phone on charge and start calling them again. Only to be transferred yet again from department to department. My credit score is so low that I fall in the low risk score rates. But thanks to Vodacom my credit profile affordability shows that my monthly obligations is double what I earn on a monthly basis.

After being a well committed client to Vodacom for over 10 years. I have never ever been in arrears with them and even when I didn't need a new phone or device I always continued my subscriptions every 24months. Up until now... The worst service delivery ever... Even trying to settlement account was a huge battle. Everything with vodacom is a battle. It's almost like all the departments in Vodacom are different business who don't share information with each other and that the one is actually trying to make the other one look ***********.

Well you have reached success.... The whole of vodacom looks stupid now... You have lost a client. Just FYI.... Over the years I have spent well over R50 000 in contracts and devices with Vodacom.
