Worst service in Vodacom

Hi,

I cancelled 2 of my unused contracts last month on the 8th of August. I have just received an invoice showing that the contract are still running. Please find attached proof that I paid and sent the cancellation request.

I have held many contracts with Vodacom over the last 17 years. And I have never had a pleasant experience in cancelling a contract. The settlement quote either never comes through after which you have to phone again. Or the contracts simply do not get cancelled. When I phoned in 2 months ago I also had to assist the person giving me the settlement quotes as he gave me a settlement on the incorrect account-after I had to punch in my number and verbally confirm the number to him…he still managed to send the incorrect quote.

I suspect that Vodacom is deliberately giving bad service in this department to retain clients. I think this as it is impossible to receive consistent bad service from one department in a company.

So..."in due course" turned out to be another 3 days later. I was phoned by someone (unfortunately I cant recall the name) on Friday who said they would attend to the cancellation and credit the account after checking the details. This person would have phoned me back on Monday. Today is Wednesday and still no call to confirm that all has been sorted. I really can't say I'm surprised. I'll be moving my last contract to MTN on my next upgrade(probably sooner) as Vodacom obviously couldn't be bothered about lack of service or client concerns/complaints. Please be wary before contracting with them.
