Worst service from Vodacom
Why is it so difficult for Vodacom to resolve complaints and communicate with customers on the outcome? For the past few months, I’ve written to Vodacom. I’ve called them. Each time the response is “we have received your complaint and someone will contact you” then next you receive an email that your complaint has been resolved. No resolution notes. No calls from Vodacom.
This is wasting my time. I had a contract with Vodacom which came with 2 phones and 2 SIM cards. I religiously paid my account on time. Because of poor support when issues are raised, I cancelled the contract prematurely and paid the penalty fees as charged. Responded with proof of payment to the cancellations department. That was the last time I heard from them. How professional is this.
My request for cancellation was that they cancel the contract and contact number was shared with them. Instead, I kept getting invoices which I refused to pay before speaking to someone for clarification. Emails were responded to in the same manner as before with what looks like an automated response then that’s it. Calling them did not help as each time I was told a different story. Eventually, my details were shared with some debt collector to force me to pay.
This was until last week when I called then, by luck, someone managed to assist me with information on why I was being billed. Apparently the agent I had spoken to only cancelled one sim and not the contract. Made no sense to me that you would request to opt out of the contract and share the contract number then someone decides to cancel only 1 number and leave the other with no communication with the customer for agreement.
Even the email I sent last has not been responded to with details of how the issue would be resolved. Instead, I got a credit note via email. Computer generated. No explanation or anything to acknowledge and correct their error.
I am even battling to reach anyone to provide me information that this contract is cancelled and I do not owe them anything.
I’ve taken many contracts before from different service providers but never have I encountered such incompetence. GROSS INCOMPETENCE!!! Completely unacceptable!!!
My advice, take Vodacom contracts at your own risk because “WOW”
Never will I involve myself with anything that has to do with Vodacom.
It’s for this reason that I’m this frustrated with your service.
An automated response saying your issue has been resolved without addressing what the outcome was is vague and not enough. In some cases I’m only getting automated responses which bears no reference to questions asked.
I’ve already highlighted the fact that Vodacom keeps calling me on numbers which I discarded as, in my opinion, the contract was cancelled.
I’ve shared the number I use and no calls or rather missed calls received from Vodacom

It’s this kind of vague responses which I have been complaining about. Is this contact now correctly cancelled or not? I do no need any credit notes, I need an email advising me that my query has been resolved and errors made by your staff rectified and contract cancellation processed. How difficult is this?
You were unable to ge hold of me from which number? I’ve no missed calls from Vodacom. Anyway, an email to me stating that I do not owe anything and that the contract cancellation has been effected will suffice since no one has the guts to call me on my working number.
For the record, the two numbers I had from Vodacom are not working as I destroyed and threw them away. This leaves one option of reaching me….email. I take it that can’t be so difficult

You guys are pathetic!!!!
You forgetting that you sent me the same message yesterday - word for word. I responded with my comments to that then you send me the same thing.
I’m sure Vodacom thinks we don’t read. I take great offence to that
