WORST SERVICE EVER AFTER BEING A CUSTOMER FOR 27 YEARS !!!!!
In the last months our Vodacom reception is almost zero. I reported it more than once and eventually Vodacom sent a technician to come and check what the problem is. The conclusion was that the area has bad reception and that sadly Vodacom will not in the near future spend any money to improve their tower. Vodacom came with an offer that they will cancel my contract prematurely so I can port my number to MTN that has great cover here. I had to pay almost R5000 towards my handset and then they will change my number to pre-paid. I have the reports from their network specialist plus emails to and from Vodacom. I have been a loyal customer for the last 27 years with the same number which is also my business number. I was told on the 30 March my number will become pre-paid. Well on the 28th I received a sms from Vodacom stating that my contract is cancelled, and my number will be deleted the next day. It was over easter weekend so after numerous calls I was told the pre cancellations department will only be back on the 2 April. Vodacom deleted my number and for 5 days I had no number. I could not call and when someone called my number all that they got was "the number you dialled does not exist". On the 2nd I drove all the way to Vodacom in George and sat with Wernich from Vodacom in the mall. He was fantastic and managed that I could get my business number back after another 2 days, but he was great. Finally, I could port my number. I own a guest lodge and you can imagine our business cell number not working over the whole easter weekend and the amount of calls I missed if people wanted to book. SUCH TREATMENT after 27 years.! Wow
My next problem is I also have a contract with Vodacom and that's attached to a laptop. I opted for the option that they take the laptop back and cancel this contract as well. I have never been able to use any of the data because of the bad network here. I just have to say the bad network only started months ago. I have been living here for 18 years and we never had this problem. In my emails to Vodacom, I have been dealing with a person by the name of Enocenciah at Vodacom's pre cancellations. I have mailed her numerous times a week before the end of the month to send someone to pick up the laptop.
After 6 mails she finally send me a mail on the 2nd of April. I will paste her mail here: "RE: EC-1MFF-2IBZMM RE: RE: RE: FW: Cancellation to prepaid contracts Mr Len Bornman URGENT
Good day
Please be advised that i have requested a collection of the laptop, once collected we will cancel the contract. Regards Enocenciah "
Off course on the 2nd I was charged again for another month although the laptop is packed in all its original boxing and is basically brand new still standing here. Today is the 9th of April. No pickup yet and my mails to Enoceniah remains unanswered although I got a brand-new Invoice of R500 for the laptop for next month. So basically, I paid for a laptop for a year and I'm losing it due to their bad service and network. I don't want it anymore, but I get no reply.
Please is there someone at Vodacom in some managerial position that can help me. I will not pay another month for something that you can't provide. I feel I'm being ignored because they can take as long as they want because they keep charging my account. PLEASE WHO CAN ASSIST ME.
Is this how you treat a loyal customer after 27 years????? Thanks Len Bornman
