WORST REPAIR SERVICE!

Good Day

I hope you can assist...

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that comes with a accidental cover called ADH which covers the user for 1 free screen repair and 1 free water damage repair over a 24 month period.

I damaged my screen on the very last day of my warranty 9th April 2016 and without hesitation I drove from Pietermaritzburg through to Umhlanga, Durban (Queen Nandi Drive) roughly 90km's from where I stay, there is a Samsung Repair Centre ... When I arrived the Repair Centre was closed and couldn't contact Samsung due to handset screen being damaged. I then travel back to Pietermaritzburg to try and book device in at the Vodacom Customer Care at the Liberty Midlands Mall BUT they were also closed by the time I arrived back to Pietermaritzburg.

I then go back to the Vodacom Customer Care first thing the next morning 10th April 2016 and booked the handset in without any problems. I get told it'll take 7 to 14 working days for completion.

I then get a quote from Vodacom stating I need to pay an amount of ±R2300 for the repair even though it should of been covered by that Samsung ADH warranty plan.

I go back to Vodacom Customer Care to sort it out, they then email Samsung ADH to get an answer.

They state the device was booked in after the warranty period and they refuse to cover the cost of the repair. After explaining over and over again that their Samsung Repair Centre was closed they flat down refused and couldn't care less!

I have 18+ emails back and forth between the Manager of Vodacom Repair Centre the Repairs Dept. Manager and Samsung... These emails started 14th April 2016 and there has still been no answer or ownership of this repair.

As a client, I don't expect to pay for a repair because the Service Centre was closed.

If you would like to see the emails back and forth, I would gladly forward them on.

Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated as its been over a month without a handset.

Kind Regards

N Batte
