Worst Patheic Disgusting service from a 'service' provider

This is by far the worst service provider ever! Not to mention how pathetic the internet is. I took out a contract with Vodacom 2 years ago for the price of R599 but ended up paying R738. When I called to enquire I was told that Vodacom can increase the cost of the contract without my knowledge or consent and cited "economic reasons" for the increase (I understand that the VAT rate increased but to that extent? I think not). Now that the contract is coming to an end, I called round about the 20th of August 2019 (I took out the contract roughly the same date 2 years ago) and instead of cancelling it, I was asked about upgrading the contract. I was told that it is too soon to cancel it. So I decided to cancel it today, 2 September 2019 and the Consultant that 'assisted' me why extremely rude and terminated the call while I was still speaking, not even confirming that the contract is cancelled, when the last debit order will be deducted or the reference number for such call. According to the consultant Thabiso, I must use up all my minutes or it will be forfeited once it is converted to prepaid. When I enquired about why this is (based on the new legislation that service providers cannot bill you for dats/airtime and have it expired because i already paid for it) he got really stroppy and rude and is part of the reason that I will never use Vodacom as a service provider again. The internet itself is so slow, its pathetic.

Never do business with Vodacom.

A consultant by the name of Dean contacted me and "dealt" with my complaint with much the same attitude that Thabiso did... these are a bunch of rude people that I no longer wish to deal with. For people who work with people in a call centre setting, their etiquette leaves much to be desired. It's funny that for persons working in the telecommunications industry that they are unaware of the legislation which was highly mentioned in the media to protect the consumers relating to the hidden terms and conditions of these contracts- none of which gets explained to you when you take out the contract... Answering my question with a question as to why I am asking what I am asking is appalling. Again, I will make sure that my family and I never deal with the likes of Vodacom again

This coming from someone who was loyal to the network for over 12 years. Emphasis on the word was...
