Worst Network Provider Employees To Ever Exist

To start from the beginning: I opened a contract with Vodacom back in 2017. Since then, every month I had to contact the customer care line due to my signal going away (EVERY SINGLE MONTH). The contract was then upgraded in 2020, for 100GB (60GB Anytime + 30GB Night + 10GB Streaming). Keep in mind, I am still calling the customer care line in regards to my signal disappearing. In November of 2022, I contacted the Cancellation department to cancel my contract, due to terrible service I’ve received since 2017.

This is where the fun began. In November 2022, I contacted that cancellation department requesting for a cancellation. The agent who assisted Me mentioned that the contract will be cancelled & that the last debit order would be in December 2022. In December 2022, I contacted Vodacom once again to confirm if my cancellation request was pushed through & the agent confirmed that it was cancelled successfully. All good and well… until I received an SMS in January 2023, mentioning to Me that a debit order of R318 would be deducted. I then contacted the cancellation department once again… the agent mentioned to Mee that the cancellation was not placed & that a new contract was created. He mentioned to me that the contract was 30GB anytime for R318, does that make any sense to you, compared to my actual contract? The agent then mentioned he would do so immediately & my last deduction would be January 2023. On the 21st of February 2023, I received an SMS mentioning to Mee that a Debit order would once again debit my account of an amount of R318. I immediately contacted the cancellation department. The agent then mentioned to Mee that no cancellation was placed & that he would do so immediately & he would cancel the debit order as well. Guess what happened today (28/02/2023) ? You guessed it, a debit order deducted my account… but not the R318 that the SMS mentioned. Vodacom decided to deduct R412.29.

Do you see my frustration yet? Do you see why I wanted to cancel the contract in the first place? Not only have my signal disappeared every month… but whenever I tried cancelling, I was told it was cancelled, yet nothing was done.

30/03/2023 I contacted Vodacom's legal department, spoke to a Kim, she confirmed with me that the contract was cancelled successfully in February 2023. She also successfully me with putting in a dispute for the arrears (which was not supposed to be there). I haven't received any reference number or any feedback since. Whenever I call Vodacom, I am constantly being transferred from one department to the next. Yet, no one can give me the reference number, nor is there any feedback.

I refuse to pay Vodacom for something I have not agreed upon.
