WORST MISTAKE EVER

I received a call from Mondo for a Wi-Fi router upgrade option after much convincing I decided to take up the contact for R199 PER month-WORST MISTAKE EVER

About 5 days later I received the router, I opened it and then decided to call Vodacom to find out do I need to Rica or it or how will lit work. To my surprise I was told because I am already a Vodacom customer there was no need however after 24 hours it will activate automatically once it’s activated I must be advised that after 48 hours the debit will go off. So I asked what debit they say for the pro rata amount. To my surprise I inform the lady at Vodacom that the lady who called me from Mondo informed me that for the month of July I will be charged pro rata but not once did she mention it will be 48 hours after activation and I feel that was something she should have mentioned regardless of the price.

I then asked the lady who do I cancel with as I didn’t ask for this product it was sold to me by lying to me just to get a sale. She said you I must cancel with Mondo direct. So I called them spoke to a gentleman by the name of Jansen who was very apologetic and said he would arrange for the cancellation and collection of the router that was on the 13 July 2017. I called again 18 July as I had not heard from Osram, Vodacom or Mondo and got through to a gentleman by the name of Nivashin who also was very pleasant.

He confirmed that the cancellation was sent through to Vodacom however I must please be advised that even though it has been sent through it could take anything between 3 weeks to 6 months before it can be collected. Also please may I make provision for the amounts to be going off as they will be deducted by Vodacom up until such time the cancellation is processed fully? It’s my duty to please keep a log every month for all transactions from Vodacom up until such time the router is collected. LIKE SERIOUSLY SO WHAT IS THE POINT FOR CANCELLING IF I MUST KEEP RECEORD. So another surprise this morning I get text of R218 from Vodacom which then FNB returns and I am charged R75 for it due to insufficient funds.

Now I have cancelled this router the very same day I received it, I am still waiting for collection Vodacom still goes ahead and charges me, it’s amazing how the billing system is so proactive yet the call centre and customer services department is so pathetic when you call they can’t hear you there is noise in the background you get shoved from pillar to post but when money must go off it does so in a blink of an eye. I want to know is this how you treat long standing customers by giving out their numbers to third parties who then don’t give them fine print and just quickly want to close of a sale but mislead the customer in the process. How long will these debits be going off for a device that is sitting in a box in the office not being used while I incur unnecessary charges due to being **** to.

Vodacom knows my debit order date why the sudden change because it suits you. I don’t want the Wi-Fi route, I cancelled it I advised for the collection to be done and I am waiting. I don’t mind spending the amount I have been spending on my airtime as its hassles free I will remain on my current two contract until they expire-PLEASE SORT THIS OUT ASAP!!!!!!
