Worst Experience with Vodacom!

I am currently having the worst experience with Vodacom. I got a call from an agent in April telling me that Vodacom wants to send me a gift. I kept saying to the agent such things don’t exist and asking what the catch is, she actually got annoyed with me and said there’s no catch.

Only to find that I’ve been debited every month over R350 for the so-called “gift”. When visiting the stores, I get treated really badly because they say it’s an online deal. I sit on call centres every day trying to sort this out. But to no avail. I get passed through departments, I’m annoyed, the Vodacom staff are annoyed with me. Last Sunday after having quite an awful experience in their Norwood store, I called to cancel all contracts. Mind you, I’ve been a dedicated customer with multiple contracts with Vodacom for years. Another call centre agent apologised and said someone will collect the router and that the money will be credited for the months I’ve paid (I finally felt a sense of hope), obviously that has not happened.

I’m now paying exorbitant fees every month for things I don’t use or want. Surely, this is ***** in which no contracts are being signed off on and customers are being duped into believing we are getting “gifts” in which debits are automatically going off for? I received no paperwork for this contract.

Also, what are the point of stores if nobody can assist? I got screamed at by a person in the Norwood store because I couldn’t understand this logic, of Vodacom online and Vodacom in store being apparently two different companies? So nobody can help in-store anymore? Or even try to?

If anyone has been through the same or can please help me in some way, I would really appreciate it. Currently I’m at my wits end, and am so disappointed in a brand that I used to hold in high regard. I want nothing to do with Vodacom at this point, most especially with the way I’m being treated.

Hi, thank you. Your consultant did call me but I asked if I could get called back in an hour as I was in a meeting. There wasn’t a call back.
