Worst Experience of My Life!!
For the first time, I decided to try upgrade my contract using Vodacom Direct as opposed to going into a store to upgrade. This was the worst mistake I could have made.
I upgraded my contract telephonically at 8:30 on the morning of 28 Sept. I was told that everything was OK and that my delivery will happen by Weds 3 Oct. Vodacom was to confirm with me within 24hrs. Happy days right? WRONG.
Obviously no one called me to confirm. I called in to Vodacom many times over the weekend to get someone to confirm, however they said in 2018 it is impossible for them to transfer me to confirmations and that there was no choice for me but to sit on my hands and wait. Eventually someone called me on Monday evening to confirm. Happy days right, WRONG!!
After confirming, I got another call to say that the phone is out of stock and that I will have to wait indefinitely for stock. It could be 2 days or 2 years they cant tell me.
I asked to speak to the manager (who I think is a unicorn and doesn't really exist)...The unicorn manager Morne Nel has since been in meetings or on a call with another client ever since. I still believe he is a unicorn.
I was instead put through to a person that claimed to be the supervisor (Kabelo)...he said that they would not want to lose my business since I was with Vodacom for 15 years. He guaranteed me that he will locate me a phone. Happy days right...WRONG!!!
It is now Friday, and Kabelo is on leave. Not only that, he apparently is NOT the supervisor. I once again asked to speak to the unicorn, but I was told that their systems do not allow a call to be forwarded to a unicorns.
NEVER EVER EVER EVER upgrade with Vodacom Direct!
