Numerous phone calls to Vodacom’s customer care line as well as direct visits to Vodacom shops have not delivered any results nor assistance.

Currently I have 4 contracts with Vodacom. One of these is for my wife which for some reason has stopped working i.e. she cannot make any calls nor receive or send any whatsapp’s or text messages when not connected to wi-fi. As mentioned she and I have phoned the Vodacom customer care lines on numerous occasions (it is now about 11 times) without anyone being able to tell us what the problem is. They keep on referring to a no data or airtime issue. However on her first visit to a Vodacom shop in Woodlands Pretoria she bought additional time and data but it does not reflect and nobody can tell us why. I am reluctant to spend more money at Vodacom and still being unable to use the phone – “been there done that”.

My wife is travelling extensively and requires a phone for obvious reasons but mostly because of safety. All I want to know is if Vodacom are able to solve the problem (it has been 7 days already) or should I cancel all my contracts and move to an alternative service provider as I am paying for services I am not getting i.e. just be honest. Cell C is providing assistance in buying out contracts so I am not even going to argue or fight (and waste my time) to cancel the contract without paying it up even though Vodacom cannot solve the problem – it is a Vodacom issue?!

My wife even stated that if she is doing something wrong and her device has some setting draining airtime and data that she would accept it and buy airtime and data again. But the Vodacom employees at the Vodacom shop looked at her handset and ensured her the settings is fine.

Every time I phoned the customer care line I completed the survey at the end of the call stating that service is poor and that I am desperately unhappy with the service, yet nobody bothers to phone me and ask why?!

Since the phone stopped working I have paid the following:

Date: 2016/11/14, Recharge: R275, New balance: R275, I have the ref nr. for this

Date: 2016/11/14, 1GB once off data

Date: 2016/11/14, Recharge: R200, New balance: R475, I have the ref nr. for this

Date: 2016/11/21, Recharge: R110, New balance: R585, I have the ref nr. for this

Still nothing with zero assistance from customer care - nobody knows what to do yet I cannot use the phone. Tebogo from customer care acknowledge that it is a Vodacom issue but no one can solve it?!?

Extremely frustrated and disappointed. The first opportunity I get I will definitely switch service providers! Even mailed the CEO – haha – doubt if I will get a response!!
