Worst customer service ever

I called Vodacom 135 for help because my voicmail stopped working. It takes three minutes of navigating "self help" options to get to the operator. That is three minutes of my time. Then they need to verify that it is you, notwithstanding that I am calling on my Vodacom line that has the problem. One of the many questions is "What is your account number" I ask - how many people walk around with their cell phone provider account number to hand. Anyway to the REAL basis of this complaint.

The first operator I spoke with reset my voice mail and instructed me to dial *141# and choose reset from the options and then reboot my phone. I did this but it did not work. She called back a while later and I told her it was not working and asked her to refer it. She hung up.

I tried calling again, The second operator, after struggling to understand the problem, told be to dial 082 14 and my number. I did this and the system duly let me leave myself a message. She called back and was somewhat bewildered when I told her what happened but under duress agreed to lodge a ticket for the technical team. She said I would get an sms with the reference number. It never arrived so I called a third time asking to speak with someone in management.

CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK WITH SUPERVISORS OR MANAGERS AT VODACOM

The third operator did log an escalation and gave it to me after some pressure from my side. I asked if Vodacom would make good for the inconvenience they have caused me and he informed me that:

VODACOM DOES NOT APPOLOGISE FOR ITS MISTAKES AND DOES NOT MAKE GOOD TO THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR SAME.

Ironically the second operator just called me to find out if the voicemail was working now. I told her no and that I had just spoken with her colleague who informed me that she did not log the escalation. This she denied flatly.

VODACOM STAFF LIE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Finally I asked where I can lodge a complaint at Vodacom - you guessed it:
